Review: Into The Still Blue

Into the Still Blue (Under the Never Sky #3)

BLURB: The earth-shattering conclusion to Veronica Rossi's "masterpiece" Under the Never Sky trilogy and sequel to the New York Timesbestselling Through the Ever Night (Examiner.com).

Their love and their leadership have been tested. Now it's time for Perry and Aria to unite the Dwellers and the Outsiders in one last desperate attempt to bring balance to their world.

The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe-haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do-and they are just as determined to stay together.

Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. And when Roar returns to camp, he is so furious with Perry that he won't even look at him, and Perry begins to feel like they have already lost.

Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble a team to mount an impossible rescue mission-because Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival, he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.

In this final book in her stunning Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.

My Thoughts:

I've been waiting for this book for a long time. I ADORED the previous book in the series Through The Ever Night (TTEN). The last book in the series are tough to read and usually do not live upto expectations.

Into The Still Blue was an interesting and good book but it didn't wow me like TTEN. Through The Ever Night in my opinion took this series to another level and even though this is a fantastic book it doesn't sweep me off my feet.I guess the book didn't live upto my expectations.

I loved Perry and Aria in this book.Aria has changed so much and Perry is as great as ever but he still hasn't learnt to trust people close to him. Both characters have shown such incredible growth over this series . Roar in this book broke my heart.

The plot is interesting and manages to keep you engrossed and there are a lot of unexpected twists but the pacing was a little problematic in this novel. This is definitely the darkest story in this series and there is a sense of foreboding throughout the novel. For some reason I just didn't get lost in the atmosphere or felt the anticipation, I have no idea why.I was surprised by the twists but I knew what would happen somehow.

Overall, this is a great series and I would recommend it to people . I wasn't wowed by the ending but I enjoyed it.

My Rating:

Toss up between 3.5 and 4

bending more towards the 4.

  1. I love under the never sky trilogy!! All three books are amazing especially one and two... I have to agree with u on the wow factor... It was lacking that euphoria or excitement but it was still great! And perry and aria r awesome like always and have a great relationship and aaah I'd love to see roar have his own book! I think it deserves 4/5 stars.. ;)

  3. So excited to read this book! Sorry to see it didn't quite match TTEN in your eyes, but I can understand it in some ways--TTEN was so beyond amazing, it would be nearly impossible to beat. I'm just dying to see how this amazing trilogy ends :)

  5. I am so nervous to read this book. The first two in the series are two of my most favorite books ever, and knowing that this is the final book is so bittersweet. And I always worry that a final book is going to be a disappointment, which can ruin a whole series. But this sounds like, while maybe not perfect as I would hope, it is still worth reading and makes a good final addition to this series!
