ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch.
That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.
Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers.
But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she? (goodreads.com)
This is the second book in the hex hall trilogy and I don't care if you LOATHED hex hall.YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!
What kind of girl looks into the face of the guy she loves after he says something extremely mushy and romantic and swoon worthy and say:
"Wow, Cross. I think you missed your calling. Screw demon hunting: you should clearly be writing Hallmark cards"
SOPHIE MERCER DOES.
Finally a book in which the main character(read girl) has a brain and actually uses it unlike some people(*cough* BELLA *cough*)
and I absolutely ADORE Cal.
THE ONLY THING I did not like about this book is the fact that it ended with a cliffhanger and the next book releases some time next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE AGONY!
I will continue my rant on hex hall some other day.

I loved this book and yeah I agree I wish it didn't end with a cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers. Can't wait until the next book is out!
ReplyDeleteThe next book title has been announced it's SPELL BOUND.
ReplyDeleteI have been curious about this series and think it looks like fun, although after your comments am wondering if I should start here or at Hex Hall LOL Thank you so much for sharing your review :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Review :)
ReplyDeleteI adored this series - loved this book!! I loved the different feel to this one over Hex Hall, and the complexity of the love triangle. (I actually didn't mind the triangle, and I had a hard time picking which one I wanted Sophie to end up with!)
