Cover Alert! OBSIDIAN by Jennifer Armentrout

If you guys don't know already I am a HUGE FAN of Jennifer's book Half Blood(I will write a review soon I promise!).She's turned into some kind of writing machine as she has approx. 5 YA books which are to be released soon...and the newest addition is

OBSIDIAN

Blurb:
Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, outhouses, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring. Until I spotted my hot neighbor with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marked me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and the mark he left on me has me lit up like Las Vegas strip to the bad guys. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is.

And then things got really bad…

  1. Ohh, this set-up reminds me of the old YA series "Roswell High". Did you ever heard of it? It hit shelves around the turn of the millennium and was popular enough to get a somewhat different TV show. It starts off with a girl (Liz Ortecho) being so very bored in the middle of nowhere (Roswell, NM), then getting shot in the stomach by a couple of clumsy criminals. This quiet guy who she sort of knows and sort of likes saves her life, in the process revealing he's an alien. Ten books later, they've had to fight three Big Bad enemies. It's one of my favorite series.
