Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

Under the Never Sky (Under The Never Sky #1)
 Blurb:
Aria is a teenager in the enclosed city of Reverie. Like all Dwellers, she spends her time with friends in virtual environments, called Realms, accessed through an eyepiece called a Smarteye. Aria enjoys the Realms and the easy life in Reverie. When she is forced out of the pod for a crime she did not commit, she believes her death is imminent. The outside world is known as The Death Shop, with danger in every direction.

As an Outsider, Perry has always known hunger, vicious predators, and violent energy storms from the swirling electrified atmosphere called the Aether. A bit of an outcast even among his hunting tribe, Perry withstands these daily tests with his exceptional abilities, as he is gifted with powerful senses that enable him to scent danger, food and even human emotions.

They come together reluctantly, for Aria must depend on Perry, whom she considers abarbarian, to help her get back to Reverie, while Perry needs Aria to help unravel the mystery of his beloved nephew’s abduction by the Dwellers. Together they embark on a journey challenged as much by their prejudices as by encounters with cannibals and wolves. But to their surprise, Aria and Perry forge an unlikely love - one that will forever change the fate of all who live UNDER THE NEVER SKY

The first book in a captivating trilogy, Veronica Rossi’s enthralling debut sweeps you into an unforgettable adventure

My Thoughts:
I love the cover of this book and I have to say that I probably wouldn't have been as excited to read it if it hadn't been for the eye catching cover!

The story is told from the  perspectives of Aria and Perry.Aria is a Dweller and Perry is an Outsider ,in short they exist in two completely different worlds.

I didn't really connect with  Aria. I just thought she was a little unreal but the other protagonist Perry ....I LOVED! I wanted the whole book to be from his point of view but I don't think we'd understand the entire story if we didn't get a peak into both perspectives and worlds.

This book starts off a little slowly and it takes you some time to get into it, if it had not been for Perry and the amazing world that the author introduces us to.... that is so similar to our own, yet different,I might not have even read past the first three chapters!

Also,The powers(that isn't exactly the best word for it but I just like calling it that!)  the Outsiders possessed really fascinated me because it added a subtle paranormal tinge element to this book.

One major plus point of this book is the way the romance between the main characters is built up.There is no love at first site here!(THANK GOD!) It develops really well and it's actually quite believable. I loved how sweet and unique it was !

Overall, this book felt more like an introduction ,I feel as if the REAL story will start in book 2.This book was interesting and even though it isn't to die for it was quite a nice read!Don't go in with high expectations and you'll really enjoy this one!

My Rating:

3.5/5

Read this one for Perry and the

interesting world the author creates!

This book is written by a 2012 DEBUT author
