Review: The Elusive Wife

The Elusive Wife
Jason Cavendish, the Earl of Coventry, is trying to discreetly locate his unwanted and abandoned bride among London society to request an annulment. However, he doesn’t remember what she looks like because he was blind drunk at his arranged wedding and hasn’t seen her since. The fascinating Lady Olivia has captured the Earl’s attention. Newly arrived from the country to stay with her school friend for the Season, she is appalled to discover that her husband, Lord Coventry, doesn't even recognize her. She's not about to tell the arrogant arse that she is his wife. Instead, she flirts with him by night and has her modiste send her mounting bills to him by day. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned… Too bad this woman finds her husband nearly irresistible.

My Thoughts:
This book was SO MUCH fun!

I loved it so much. It's been a very long time since I've read a book in which there was a love-hate relationship between the main characters which led to hilarious events.Usually the characters hate each other for no good reason but there's a VERY good reason in this book.

Jason doesn't want a marriage of convenience but his grandfather's will demands that he marry a lady of his choice.Jason gets drunk and gets married but doesn't remember anything about his wife and he doesn't want to find out anything either so he flees.

Lady Olivia the unlucky person who is chosen is dismayed to find out who she is to get married to and shocked to find that her "husband" has run off. Things get sticky when they meet again and Jason doesn't recognize her.

This book was HILARIOUS. Especially when Olivia decided to show her backbone. This has to be one of the most fun and entertaining romance that I have read in a long time. I cannot wait to get my hands on another book from the Entangled Scandalous line now.

Overall, this book was just what I needed and I would definitely recommend it to romance readers.

My Rating:

  1. I would never pick this book on my own. It sounds like one of the typical adult novels and here I'd miss all the fun. I'm glad you enjoyed this book. Great review :)
