My Thoughts:

Luck of the Dragon is an interesting and fun addition to the romantic genre.This book features a mythological character not dealt with often i.e. dragons . I for one found the shape shifting dragon part of the story to be pretty unique.

The female protagonist is in a tight spot and agrees to help case a joint for a heist. If you're expecting an Ocean's Eleven type book I suggest you look elsewhere because this book's main focus is the romance and the story doesn't focus on the planned heist as much as the trust issues of the characters and the guilt. 

I enjoyed reading this novel because it was quick,light and fun. It also had an interesting heroine and does explore a little bit of the paranormal history of the characters which is something that I didn't find in many other covet books.

Overall, if you're looking for a romance which has hints of but not a complicated or elaborate  paranormal backstory and deals with shape shifters or dragons look no further.

SO there's a NEW catching fire movie trailer and it is so much better than the first one! (my opinion)

So...what can you tell me about your new book,Copper Girl?

Copper Girl follows Sara Corbeau, an Elemental who has had to hide her true nature for most of her life. You see, magic has been outlawed, and if anyone gets caught using the government locks them up and throws away the key. Sara's doing a pretty good job of being ordinary, until she takes a nap in her car and has a dream about a man with silver eyes. When he turns out to be real, things get interesting.

What influences and inspirations (both literary and non-literary) did you draw from while writing this book?
I drew inspiration from a few books, namely Sunshine by Robin McKinley and War for the Oaks by Emma Bull. I was also inspired by my own love of jewelry making, my sucession of boring desk jobs, and a lifelong interest in Celtic myth and folk tales.

What genre would you classify your book under? What fascinates you about this genre
Copper Girl is an urban fantasy. I love the juxtaposition of ordinary life with fantastic elements, like an elf working as a barista.

what's your favourite scene/line from the book?
My favorite scene, hands down, is the scene in the oak. If I tell you about it, I'll give away a huge spoiler, so you'll just have to read it ;)

Tell us five interesting things about yourself.
1. I began my first novel in the eight grade

4. I have worked as a book seller, barista, recycling coordinator, retail manager, marketing coordinator, and claim analyst

Can you tell us a little about the main characters in Copper Girl?
Sara Corbeau is the titular copper girl. She's a metal Elemental, and her mark is a copper raven emblazoned across her back. Her father and brother went missing after the Magic Wars, and she's been trying to lay low and avoid the same fate. Her love interest is Micah Silverstrand, also a metal Elemental, who just happens to be an elf from the Otherworld, and the Lord of Silver. He takes Sara to his ruler, the Iron Queen, to help Sara find her missing family members. We also meet Sara's best frenemy, Juliana; her siblings, Max and Sadie; and her mother, Maeve, who is a bit more than meets the eye.

What would you do If you could rewind time?
That's a loaded question! I would probably leave myself winning lottery numbers or stock tips.

What's the last book you've read?

I just finished Touch of Death by Kelly Hashway and The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater.

what's next?
I've got the next three installments of The Copper Legacy to get out - Copper Ravens, Copper Veins, and Copper Princess, respectively. There's also a spinoff duology in the works. I'm also gearing up to re-release my epic fantasy series, The Chronicles of Parthalan, in 2014, and I'm working on an urban fantasy set in Scotland. You could say that my plate is full.

My Thoughts:

This book was SO MUCH fun!

I loved it so much.It's been a very long time since I've read a book in which there was a love-hate relationship between the main characters which led to hilarious events.Usually the characters hate each other for no good reason but there's a VERY good reason in this book.

Jason doesn't want a marriage of convenience but his grandfather's will demands that he marry a lady of his choice.Jason gets drunk and gets married but doesn't remember anything about his wife and he doesn't want to find out anything either so he flees.

Lady Olivia the unlucky person who is chosen is dismayed to find out who she is to get married to and shocked to find that her "husband" has run off. Things get sticky when they meet again and Jason doesn't recognize her.

This book was HILARIOUS. Especially when Olivia decided to show her backbone. This has to be one of the most fun and entertaining romance that I have read in a long time. I cannot wait to get my hands on another book from the Entangled Scandalous line now.

Overall, this book was just what I needed and I would definitely recommend it to romance readers.

My Thoughts:

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.
The first two books of this series followed a SET formula. I was able to ignore that because the characters were distinctive and drew you in but I was still wary of reading this book because I wasn't sure I would be able to forget the formula for the third time. Fortunately Probst decided to deviate from the set formula and keep me thoroughly engaged in this one as well.

There's loads of tension between the main characters.Carina has had a crush on Max since forever but she's decided to move on with her life and enjoy new experiences. Unfortunately Max isn't exactly on-board with her plan. Max wants Carina to stay in her clearly defined role of goody two shoes. What transpires is a lot of tension ,arguments and fun.

Marriage Mistake is great fun and the best part is that I couldn't predict exactly what would happen next in the last 10% to 30% of the book. My complain is regarding the blurb. It gives away TOO much. The things stated in the blurb don't happen for a long time and I kept expecting it to happen but it didn't . The blurb doesn't spoil the entire story but it gives away a little too much information in my opinion.

I hope this isn't the last book in the series. It was stated it was a trilogy but one sister is still left so fingers crossed.

My Thoughts:

Sometimes you don't where exactly a book fits in the specific genre. Graceling is one of those books. This is not your typical young adult novel in which there's a guy and a girl and they live happily ever after. This is also not a book for people who have a strong  pro-marriage stance. 

The heroine in this book should actually be called the HERO. Because this "WOMAN" deserves it. I've read lots of books and Katsa has to be one of the most strongest and most stubborn woman I have read about. She is the embodiment of strong. She can beat up people who are stronger and better at fighting than her and she can do it without flinching. The best part about her is that she is not a robot. She feels everything and over the years she has become strong enough emotionally to deal with what she is capable of but she hasn't resigned herself to her fate. Katsa rebels against the stifling authority in any way she can.


Enter Po , In many ways he is the opposite of Katsa personality wise but he's someone who is fascinated and understands Katsa as well .I love Po he is an amazing friend and a wonderful character. It's very hard not to love him.Sometimes I just wanted to whack Katsa on the head and be all "Be nice to him Katsa!" 

The story is fascinating and so different. I might have been saying that in my recent reviews quite a bit but I guess I have been reviewing quite a lot of different books recently. Basically this is the story that I expected out of Throne of Glass but didn't get. I think it's safe to classify Graceling as fantasy with romance and loads of adventure. The fantasy element does not take a backseat in this book and the main character does talk about her feelings but not all the time.
