My Thoughts:
This is a typical romance novel that doesn't deviate from the tried and tested formula of romances. It is a fun one time read and if you need some fictional junk food this is the one for you. You don't need to use your mind . You just go with the flow and enjoy yourself.

The blurb pretty much sums up what you can expect from this novel. It's a nice cute read with a predictable end.

Overall, this book was just what I needed while taking a break from my studies.

My Rating : 3 stars
Short, Sweet and Predictable.

Take it Like a Vamp
Vampire Nick Christos might’ve been born in the Middle Ages, but the good old days seem tame compared to the last eight years he’s spent ruling the Supernatural Council. His only respite is with his cute neighbor Casey Meyers, a woman he wants more than any undead man should. Sure, he's forced to take a cold shower after every encounter, but there’s no way he’ll test his own strength by getting too close to a human, and he’s not willing to risk her life--not with bloodthirsty family on the prowl out to ruin Nick’s life.

When said Nick’s kin shows up, the innocent Casey is caught in the middle of a centuries old fight, and Nick’s biggest fear is realized. Now, instead of keeping his hands off his neighbor, he’ll risk everything to save the human he’s come to love.

My Thoughts:
Take it like a Vamp is like candy floss. It's sweet and not exactly necessary but sometimes you just get a craving for it!

I was looking for something light and fun to pass the time during my vacation and this book was a perfect fit. This book doesn't go into too much specifics about the vampire world and is read like a romance novel in which instead of the normal conflict there's a supernatural conflict.

I enjoyed this novel and couldn't put it down but don't buy this novel expecting a lot of world building and vampire lore.If you need something light, fun and predictable this book will be perfect for you!

My only major complaint against this novel is that a lot of new information was introduced in the last few chapters and because of this the ending seemed rushed.Apart from this I have no major complains

Don't Bite the Bridesmaid (Sons of Kane #1)
Alice Shepard needs one thing: a date for her sister's wedding. And not just any date. A hunk who will make her fiancé rue the day he left her for her best friend. Her drop-dead gorgeous neighbor fits the bill—even if he is a bit quirky and never comes out during the day—and Alice has downed just enough appletinis to ask him. But she makes it quite clear that there will be no funny business.

Spending a week on a cruise ship full of humans while sleeping close to his sexy next-door neighbor sounds like a helluva bad idea to vampire Noah Thorpe. But his friends need time to get him out of a shotgun wedding—a vampire bonding that will tie his fate to a female vampire he's never met. And Alice's offer comes at just the right time.

What could possibly go wrong?

My Thoughts:
Don't Bite the Bridesmaid reminded me a little of Take It Like a Vamp at first because I started reading it as soon as I finished that book but then I decided to take a breather from this book so as not to get confused between the two.

This book has a Council that wants the vampire to get married as well so I thought that maybe it was part of the same series but it's not... I think that is a little weird.

Anyways,

Alice has been hurt and she needs an emergency date for her sister's wedding so as to prove to her ex that she's moved on. She decided to ask Noah her hot and sexy neighbor to be her date.Noah is not interested but says yes because he needs to get away for the time being as he wants to get out of a forced arranged marriage.

I didn't form a huge connection with the main characters but the story kept me entertained and engrossed. It was a nice fun, predictable and HOT book.

I really liked a character that was introduced in the last 10% of the novel which I think will be present in the sequels as well if there are any.I can't wait to find out more about the protagonist's father Kane. He's fascinating even though he has a small role in this book.

This book is told from the POV(Point Of View) of both the main characters.

Overall, If you've read Take it Like A Vamp and want something that is just like it read this one OR even if you haven't read that book and need a nice, fun time-pass novel .This is perfect for you

  4. Waking Up Married looks like a fun, quick read that I would enjoy. I don't read a lot of paranormal recently, but I think the other too, particularly Don't Bite the Bridesmaid, would be enjoyable for me.
    Thanks for the reviews!
