Review: Tall,Thin and Blonde

Tall, Thin and Blonde
BLURB:
Best friends Jenny and Amy have no time for Miss Perfect Teenagers, the tall, thin blondes whose only talk is of boys and fashion. Suddenly Amy's changed: she's into salads and diet Cokes; she's got a new hairstyle, wardrobe and set of friends. Jenny, meanwhile, finds herself part of a group of oddballs nicknamed the Martians. Will she follow Amy or find her own way?

My Thoughts:
This is a nice and VERY short read.It has about 180 pages but it's a great novel.
I could connect with Jen's situation and I formed a bond with her. This book may be short but it makes sense and gets a point across. Nobody should be afraid to be what they are and friends and people's priorities change but that doesn't necessarily mean that you need to change.
I loved almost all the characters and I found the commentary to be funny.I loved the Martians!
This is a clean read. The main character has just been promoted to high school and it deals with the changes that she experiences after getting into high school.
I'm definitely going to read more of Dylan Sheldon.
Overall,if you're looking for a nice, fun, cute and short read this book is perfect for you!

My Rating:
3.5 stars

  1. This sounds really cute! I love the cover. I think it sets up the story really well. I sort of guessed what it would be about just from the cover, before reading the synopsis :)

  6. The cover is too stinkin cute! I love the chick's outfit. I love books like this, when the characters don't conform to what society says is the "right" way of being. I like it when a character chooses to be themselves. Thanks for this review. I will definitely check this book out.
